The world is changing. Robotics Technologies have advanced by leaps and bounds in the past century, and that trend is accelerating as more people access new technologies. We all know that artificial intelligence will change things, but it's not all about AI—some other technologies are going to have a profound impact on our daily lives. In this article, we'll explore five of these emergent technologies: robots in the classroom, exoskeletons for regular people, drones that can fly themselves and make deliveries (or maybe even drive themselves!), self-replicating machines, and Cybernetics.

Robotics is the branch of technology that deals with the design, construction, operation, and application of robots. Robots can be used in manufacturing, assembly and packing, mining, transport, healthcare, military and space exploration.Robots are typically used to perform tasks that are hazardous or repetitive. They can be on land or in water; they can travel on wheels or by swimming; they may be very small (a nano-robot) or as large as an automobile. Among their most important features is their ability to move around as an integral part of a real environment where there are other objects that interact physically with them (e.g., humans). This means that unlike computer simulations involving data entry only by keyboard or mouse clicks using a GUI (graphical user interface), real-world robot programming involves dealing with complex physical interactions between all kinds of sensors installed on the robot platform while trying to keep track simultaneously about both its physical location in relation to other objects within its environment such as walls and obstacles but also knowing what these objects represent logically so it doesn't crash into them inadvertently when moving around freely (without being limited artificially by predetermined movements).
